Born in 1965, music played an important part in my life from early on.

After completing school, I began to study theoretical physics at the University of Vienna, and at the same time jazz guitar and arrangement at the Music Conservatory of the City of Vienna.

I played in various bands and ensembles in the musical fields of rock, funk, soul, jazz, as well as music from the 20s and 30s. During this time I took my first steps into the world of music for films.

From 1995 to 2001 I lived in London, studying at the Royal College of Art, being awarded an MA in sound design for film & TV in 1997. During this period I contributed music and sound design to many student films, feature films, short films, art installations, documentaries and, a special favourite of mine, animation films.

In 2001 I moved back to Vienna and since then I composed for TV and cinema, TV series for Austria and Germany as well as music for animation films for the UK.

I also worked in the field of sound design for many feature films, as well as TV Dramas.

I am lucky to have been awarded with the "LOLA" - the german film Award - 2013 for best sound design for the feature film "Die Wand", as well as "best music" at the British Animation Awards 2004, among other nominations.

I love to make a contribution with my music and experience in sound design, to the whole process of filmmaking and the telling of a story through moving images.
